Welcome to RetroBubble Archives

The following list is my classic collection of 90 retro films & footage which is a truly fantastic selection of original & rare films, mainly from the late 1950's to early 1970’s & now including some latest additions it reaches into the 21st century. Nearly all of these timewarp images were previously not available on DVD before & have been transfereded using the multi-region format by RetroBubble Archives largely in conjunction with the Lambretta Club Of Great Britain but there has been some valuable contributions made by a few other very generous sources.

All original audio backtracks have been left intact if possible but were the footage was silent, classic Northern Soul music has been added to enhance the viewing pleasure. We hope you enjoy these great music, scooter & cult TV scenes & thanks for your visit - come back again!

50th Lambretta Anniversary : Euro Lambretta 1997 Milan, Italy
The "50th Lambretta Anniversary" was a celebratory mile stone in classic scooter history & culminated in the International Euro Lambretta Rally held at Milano, Italy in 1997. Follow the fantastic event on this dvd, which also includes some very rare archive Lambretta footage. Programmes featured are - Euro Lambretta Jamboree '97, plus a short TV news film & the Lucozade Lambretta TV advert. The Full Bore Tour : Euro Lambretta 2001 Langenthal, Switzerland
Here we find ourselves travelling back into the not so distant past, no the now legendry "Full Bore Tour". On which, with Chuck Swonnell & the gang, we journey on the road to Langenthal in Switzerland for the 2001 Euro Lambretta rally. Watch as our intrepid scooter devotees slowly move across Europe at the heady speed of 45mph on Ld's & laugh all the way home again, disc's length - 150mins.

I.O.M LCGB Rally : Back On The I.O.M 2003
Well here we are again on the IOM after all these years, re-live this collection of memories featuring the Old Lambretta Club Hero’s Seminar, Edwin Starr Band Live on stage for the last time with a tribute to the great mans music & finally almost everybody & their scooters who attended the event. Citizen Smith & The Likely Lads [Lambretta featured in these episodes!] On this disc there are three classic television comedy shows, two of which feature Lambretta scooters. The Likely Lads, in this episode "Rocker", Terry tries to help Bob after he purchases a second hand Lambretta & learns to ride. Citizen Smith, follows Wolfie, our self-styled Che Guevara & leader of the Tooting Popular Front in two great episodes. "Buon Natale" where he & his faithful side-kick Ken, go on a trip to Rimini, Italy on his Lambretta & "Viva Revolution", after the TPF's annual manoeuvres on Salisbury plain, they end up with a Scorpion tank at the front door of the Houses of Parliament, disc's approx length - 90mins

The Mod culture first became popular during the early 1960's & soon a generation found a new way to express itself. There is a television documentary that charts the era of "Mods & Rockers", plus other features on popular 1960's fashion, original Mods & interviews, disc's approx length - 60mins.

Mods, Mods, Mods - Pt.2
The Mod culture has become just as popular today, as in the classic era of the 1960's. There are two television documentaries on Mods today. The first one "Close-Up West", is about the Bristol Area scene, "The Other-Side" is about the London modernist movement plus another feature on Quadrophenia, disc's approx length - 60mins.

Here we have another six great short television programmes featuring - Torquay National Scooter Rally '84, MTV on the I.O.W scooter rally and USA Vespa's, plus some great rare Quadrophenia footage & finishing off with a collection of items from the TV show "Big Bike Little Bike", disc's length - 60mins.

Here we have two short TV programmes - "Tribetime - Wheels On Fire" this episode is called "Run" & follows modern day scooterists from the A41 Eagles on the road to a rally at Porthcawl & "The Otherside" where we join the Hardly Rideables & friends, as they travel to the Isle Of Wight for the bank holiday weekend rally, disc's length - 60mins.

Gt. Yarmouth, Racing, AF & Casa Lambretta
Here we have four short TV programmes - "Great Yarmouth Pt. 1 + 2" is scenes from rallies during the 1980's with interviews & news broadcasts, an interview with Ray Kemp, modern day scooter racing & finally we follow Bernie Edwards on a trip around Vittorio's museum in Milan, Italy, disc's length - 60mins.

Auto-Scooter Maniacs (Gilera Italjet Peugeot)
Here we have automatic motor scooter freaks from all over Europe, performing some really crazy trick riding. Watch as they do wheelies, stoppies, burn-outs & much more, getting there Gilera, Italjet and Peugeot's into many outrageous manoeuvres. All set to a modern underground pop audio sound track, cool sounds for some major-league cool movers. A real feast for both new-comers to scooter life and even to the hardy pro's.

Coast To Coast
This is a great movie made for Television. This classic 1980's film star's Lenny Henry & John Shea as two Northern Soul/Motown DJ's trying to start up a mobile disco with the music they love. Un-wittingly they get tangled up with local mobsters & the mayhem starts. A fun movie to watch with some truly great music, disc's length - 96mins.

Vendetta For The Saint [Lambretta featured in this film!] Classic 70's movie.
The Saint (Roger Moore) is asked by the police chief to help him investigate the activities of the Mafia. Simon Templar soon learns that the head of the Mafia is dying & that there will soon be a gathering to appoint a new "Don". Eventually the Mafia find out about Templar's unhealthy interest & it is not long before he has to fight for his life! Included is a great chase as the Mafia are all riding Lambretta scooters, disc's length - 94mins.

UK TV Documentary : Jukebox Hero's
Great music, rare video scenes & interviews. Mark Lamarr narrated this programme charting The Small Faces story, which also featured personal memories from Billy Bragg, Kenny Jones, Ian McLagan, Marriott's mum & sister, ending with Lionel Bart. The infamous pair of Don Arden & Andrew Loog Oldham also appear & even the voices of Steve Marriott & Ronnie Lane themselves.
